As you may know, it is one of my missions to be successful so that I may give generously to those most in need.
Well, people along the Gulf Coast need whatever we can spare at this moment.
I encourage you to give whatever you can to the American Red Cross and other legitimate non-profit organizations. Donate now.

Alyson, it seems as if many artists feel as if we can raise more money for various causes through sale of art than we’d ever be able to give out of our pockets. If you or any of your readers learn of an umbrella organization that can manage or oversee the sale of art with profts going to relief efforts, please clue me in. I know about the individual art sales listed at http://solarizethis.blogspot.com/ but it seems as if an umbrella group might better publicize something like this than we cold possibly do individually. I know that I raised more than I could have afforded to give on my own for – the Susan Torres Fund http://ephemeria.blogspot.com/2005/08/welcome-baby-susan.html – and Alex’s Lemonade through the artistamps of Ephemeria http://www.susanreynolds.com/artistamps.html And I would like to do something for the refugees from the Gulf Coast as well. It’s just an unbelievably heartbreaking human tragedy unfolding in front of our eyes. Susan Reynolds http://ephemeria.blogspot.com/ http://www.susanreynolds.com
Great idea, Susan! Let me poke around a bit (you do the same!). Surely someone is putting such a sale on for the benefit of relief efforts.
