Art Photography at Auction

by Alyson Stanfield on March 14, 2006

Interesting article by Richard B. Woodward in ARTnews Online about the auction value of photographs.

Good news: They’re going up!
What to think about it?: Collectors still prefer black-and-white art photos.
A big "hmmm": "Collectors still balk when offered digital prints of any kind."

Of course, the author is talking about big-dollar (hundreds of thousands) items available to an elite few. Nonetheless, it’s still an important article for every photographer to read.
