This is great resource, Alyson. I have to create a new signature specific to art. Mine is all over the place now. Signature netiquette says keep signatures to 5 lines. You don’t subscribe to that? What do you think of creating a rich text or html sig file with an image in it, either a logo, or more likely a thumbnail image of your art? What about an email stationery that includes an image of my art as “letterhead”. I do that when I am printing letters sometimes. — Carla Sanders Hope, Maine 207-763-4356 Be Touched by Art http://www.carlasanders.com

Please remember to use these sigs only for business emails, and not for postings to Yahoo Groups or other email lists. Almost every list has a rule limiting the size of your signature block. Lisa http://www.lisavollrath.com

You still need a signature on those group lists. At least use your full name and URL. Addresses and phone numbers are unnecessary.

I used to leave my address off and only sometimes included my phone number – I guess I need to be consistent – Alyson, you always have great advice – thanks! Yes, I totally blow the 5-line rule out of the water with my sig – and I’m planning a re-design of it soon.
