Make Sure They Know How to Care for Your Work

Don’t ever assume that someone knows how to take care of your artwork.

Two artworks were destroyed in separate accidents, but in the same exhibition, at the Centre Pompidou in Paris--a world-class museum. It’s such a strange and sad story.

It's sad, because it's easy to assume that shows ad galleries and museums know how to take care of your work. I just picked a few paintings from a big show to find blutack on the surface of one and badly damaged frames. I've learned my lesson!
