Create Relevant Anchor Text Links

Relevant anchor links mean that instead of creating a link on your blog or website that is a URL (www.artbizcoach.com) or is meaningless (click here), you create a link to meaningful text. Here are some examples:

Art marketing classes from ArtBizCoach.com
fast, easy artist websites
web designer Pat Velte

Think about terms you use to search with when you’re deciding how to create links. Also, if you exchange links with someone else, Give them the text to use so that they don’t just create a link from your URL. Return the favor for them.

Linking to Contemporary quilt artist Lisa Call is better than http://www.lisacall.com and linking to Colorado artist Denise Bellon West beats out a link to  http://www.denisebellonwest.com.

Make sense?
Okay, go forth and create relevant anchor text links!
