Cynthia: I think I did a whole rant on "stop telling people how busy you are" !!! I'm up to my eyeballs right now and it's so hard to get back into that Zen mode. What will happen will happen. I can't stress about it. I need a new mantra for this.

I think the Earth continues to spin if our to-do lists remain undone. But I do like checking things off and adding more. I refuse to stress about it or bemoan my 'busy' life, and hate it when others do that. We're all at choice, which leads to the prioritizing issue and... I gotta go, there's other stuff to do today! Ciao!

Lisa: So true! And I'm glad it's where you can see it all of the time. All: I agree that it will never get done. This task and that task may be complete, but the older I get, the more I realize that I will never accomplish all I'd like to. (A wise artist said this to me about 10 years ago. She was so right!) Prioritizing and focusing on your dreams and things that make you healthy--those are key.

I don't think that you can ever get everything done. Everything is to all encomapassing. There is always something that needs to be done.

If everything is "done," then what's next? How boring! Life is meant to be about what's next, but it should be a natural flow, not a stress making, back breaking micr management list of things. It should be about flow - and for some of us enough details to not forget what we remembered when we started!

"What if you don't get everything done?" We can set all the goals we like, but prioritizing is so important for me. When I'm feeling lost amidst a sea of "to do's", I think about which have to be done TODAY or TOMORROW and let that be my guide. That way, the less immediate needs can temporarily fall by the wayside and I won't die. "Is it possible to ever get everything done?" Not for me! List of "wanna do's" too long, see above.

Unless one has a clear picture of what "everything" is, these can be very stressful questions to ask yourself. Sometimes it is easier to ask yourself, "What don't I want?" I like Lisa's sign about realizing what is important to you. Also, we don't know what out allotted time is on this earth, so why not just focus on that which is most important?
