Amazing how timely this post is for me, Alyson! I have an exhibition opening in 3 weeks in a different city – my first not in my home town. Your question has made me realize that what I want from this is to try to get some coverage in different media, which I hope may pay more attention to a show in this city . I know the gallery sends out press releases, but I thought I might follow this up with my key publications with extra info. What do you think?

Amanda: I’m so glad it’s helpful. Yes! You should definitely follow up with the key publications. Don’t ever rely on your gallery to do all the PR for you. What do you plan on doing/sending ? ?
