I love these affirmations Alyson. Thanks you for this post, I will add these to my current daily affirmations. When that old poverty mentality starts creeping into my thoughts, I think of my grandparents who lived through the Great Depression – now those were hard times. Kind of puts our current so called financial situation in perspective doesn’t it?

I’ve just returned from a pre-election 3 day show in Carefree Arizona. The weather was hot, the crowd subdued but people were still shopping . Although they were not as extravagant as before, they still wanted to feel good. I had one couple purchase a sculpture even though he might lose his job next week. They felt they deserved to treat themselves to some artwork. This is a time to profess your passion for your art, become a better sales person and market your latest creations. The sales are still there. All is not lost as the media would have us believe.

I really love all these comments – they are really way more than comments however, they are instructions to ourselves and the universe to shape up and fly right! I really appreciate the inspiration of it and the ‘like-thinking’ because it is agreement that makes things happen. What if they gave a recession and nobody came? We just hired contractors to build us a new patio. We’re putting energy into the economy, and believe it will be returned to us as well. There’ll always be something to frighten us – if we let it.

Everyone around me is talking about the gloomy economy. I have decided to take one step at a time and dismiss negative thoughts (very challenging). And I have also decided that this is the time to take risks with my art – not just think about ideas but take action. It’s quite liberating! Thanks Alyson, for staying positive.
