The disciplined practice of making art is mandatory. Everything else is optional–even (gasp!) marketing.

This post is spot on, Alyson.
While the market was “hot,” I disdained doing things that were just for exposure. Now, I am doing things that expose and express my art to my patronage. And, that patronage is growing.
Off to the studio.
Alyson, Thanks… this is the heart of the matter. Sometimes we spend so much time obsessing over what we’re not really good at we forget to let it go. Just like what what we were taught in school: work your butt off on what you don’t do well to compensate: Soooo….. We needed to be told to go back to what we’re actually GOOD at for a while. Thanks again.
