I Do Not Allow Re-Posts of My Articles
From what I understand, search engines don’t like duplicate content. Therefore, I don’t like duplicate content.
Besides, you’re more creative than that! And you have a voice!
What I encourage you to do, instead of re-posting, is to riff off of what I write. Quote extensively from my post (with credit and link, of course!) and share your own opinions. Tell your readers why you are interested in the article and why you’re sharing it.
This is infinitely more interesting than re-posting my content.
Please spell my name correctly: Alyson Stanfield
And reference Art Biz Blog when you share.
Thank you!
I love that we can interact here!
I am happy to give you a voice — even if you disagree with me — as long as the following apply.
1. You write with kindness.
I do my best to give you an informed opinion. If you don’t like what I say, disagree with me! But your opinion should also be informed. It should also take into account that most of what I do is offered for free. I’m not writing to stir things up. I’m trying to be helpful. I may miss the mark from time to time and you’ll hear me admitting any errors.
2. You are polite to other commenters.
Careful of your tone. Is it possible it can be misread by someone?
3. You are politically correct.
This is a politically correct blog that is tolerant of diversity.
4. You identify yourself by name.
I don’t accept anonymous comments unless there is a valid reason for them and they contribute to the dialogue in an intelligent manner.
5. You do not use your comment simply to promote a product or your art.
If you can help us solve a problem by sharing something you’ve created, great! But if your comment is only for promotions, it will be deleted.
